I decided today that if I get married, I want to name all of my children after Saints who are named in the Roman Canon.

I mean, I'll skip the "Chrysogonus" and "Marcellinus," but the rest are pretty awesome!
Linus, Cletus, Clement, Sixtus, Cosmas, Damian, Matthias, Ignatius, Felicity, Perpetua, Agatha, Cecilia, Anastasia...
None of them are unpronouncable, but when was the last time you heard someone called "Agnes," or "Simon."
My point is, most of them (except, uh, Cletus? Sixtus?) actually exist but are just rare enough as good Catholic names that it's not another John Paul or Mary or Theresa.

Okay, can't resist.... gotta offer this joke for you to enjoy (I hope)

After their baby was born, the parents thought long and hard to find a fitting name for their new one. He did not look like either parent, an aunt or uncle, or any family member for that matter.

As a matter of fact, he was not at all a very pretty baby.... actually he was quite strange looking , and he encouraged many second looks - but still loveable.

On the day of baptism, the parents approached the pastor with their dilemma.... what to name their child. They, too, wanted a biblical name.

The pastor looked at the little one.... then looked again and a slight grimmace surfaced on his face. He agreed with the parents that the child looked a bit awful, not angelic.

After a bit of prayer, he suggested the name Theophilus, meaning "lover of God."

It is after all a strong Biblical name, and they could even call him Theo for short..... quite masculine.

The parents loved it and said yes.

After the baptism, the parents asked the pastor how he decided on the name.

He said that he had not only agreed with their discription of the child's looks, but in fact thought that the boy was really Theophilus looking child he had ever seen.
